Rev. John
Pennington Passes
Rev. John L.Pennington, 69 years old died at
his home at Vine, Ky at 5 p.m. February 12. He suffered a stroke and has been in poor
health the past three or four years.
A son of William and Nancy Pennington, he was born at Vine, Ky, October 27, 1886. He has
been a minister of the Church Of Christ for about 45 years.
He was married to Susan Bowles, at Maulden, Ky. in February 1905. She preceded him in
death. Surviving are one daughter, Leona Bishop, Cincinnati, Ohio, one son Ernest
Pennington, Norwood, Ohio, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren,one sister Mrs.
Lizzie Bowman, East Bernstadt, Ky, one brother Ira Pennington, Centerville,In.
Funeral services were held at Mt.Olive Church Of Christ by Rev. Omer Jones and Rev. Henry
Campbell with burial in the family cemetary at Vine with Rominger Funeral Home Of
Manchester, Ky. in charge.
Services Held For John Fowler
John Fowler, age 78 years passed away
Sunday February 12 at the home of his son Vernon Fowler Dayton,Ohio. Surviving are his
wife, Mrs.. Lou Fowler, McKee and Dayton, Ohio, two
daughters, Lucille Reiling, Dayton, Ohio, Elise Morgan, East Bernstadt, Ky, one son,
Vernon Fowler, Dayton,Ohio. Two brothers, Pal and Dewey of Lexington, Ky., two sisters
Lynda Lunsford, McKee, and Edna Reynolds, Hamilton, Ohio. Four grandchildren and two
greatrandchildren.
Mr.Fowler was a charter member of the McKee Reformed Church and was County Court Clerk for
16 years. He was a true Christian and a friend to everybody including the children.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 Wednesday morning in the McKee Reformed Church with
Rev. Lloyd Menning officiating.
Burial services took place at the McKee Cemetery in charge of House Funeral Home of
London. A large number of friends and relatives from away attended the funeral services.
