Samuel Lindsey and Orta Parker were married on 8 Sep 1928 in Grantsville, Calhoun County, WV. They lived in Ritchie County, WV before migrating to Adena and Steubenville, OH in the middle 1930's - and eventually they relocated to Madisonville, Hopkins County, KY in the mid 1940's. They had four children; two of whom are now deceased:
  • Marion :Bud" Austin Lindsey born 6 Aug 1931 in Harrisville, Ritchie County, WV;
    died 24 Oct 1990 in Providence, Webster County, KY
    Buried 1990 in Rose Creek Cemetery, Hopkins County, KY.
    He married Mary Lovell and they had two sons. As far as I know Mary and the two sons are still living. (I do not have a photo of his tombstone - but would like one.)

  • Joseph Parker Lindsey born 19 Nov 1935 in Harrisville, Ritchie County, WV; died 16 Sep 2002 in Madisonville, Hopkins County, KY
    Buried Sep 2002 in IOOF Cemetery, Madisonville, Hopkins County, KY
    He married three times:
    • 1st wife, Janice [Watts] Lindsey (2 sons);
    • second wife, Patricia [Davis] Lindsey (2 sons and 2 daughters) [These wives and children are still living.]
    • His third wife, Virginia Dale [Parker] Lindsey was born 5 Dec 1940 and died 24 Nov 1999 in Providence, Webster County, KY. She is also buried in IOOF Cemetery in Madisonville, Hopkins County, KY near Joseph Parker Lindsey. (I do not have a photos of their tombstones - but would like one.)
