Rebecca Pelfrey George
(1926-2006)
Rebecca George, 79, of Ashland, died Friday.Caniff Funeral Home in
Westwood is in charge of arrangements, which are pending.
Scovel Eugene Gibson - 1935-2006
Scovel Eugene Gibson, 70, of Booneville, Ky., formerly of Greenup, Ky.,
went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2006, at his residence.
He was born in Greenup County, Ky., on June 9, 1935, a son of the late
Britton and Eva Gilliam Gibson. He was a retired machinist for Dayton
Walther in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death, along with his
parents, by his beloved soulmate, Rose Stamper and one brother, Ray
Gibson. He is survived by a son, Randy Gibson of Dayton; a daughter,
Debbie Kerns of Cincinnati; three brothers, Leo Gibson of Oldtown, Ky.,
Bill Gibson of Greenup and Don Gibson of Morehead; three sisters, Sue
Lemaster and Francis Gibson, both of Greenup and Judy Miller of
Cincinnati; a grandson, Eric Gibson; a stepgrandson, Buddy
Brockschmidt; one great-granddaughter, Chastity Bateman; special
friends, Silas Thomas of Booneville and Wanda Glosser of Dayton and all
of Rosa's family. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2006,
at the Little Rose Old Regular Baptist Church in Lloyd, Ky., by Elders
Junior Adkins and Willis Tolliver. Burial will follow in Smith Branch
Cemetery in Greenup County. Visitation will after 6 tonight, May 13,
2006, at Wright's Funeral Home in Greenup and one hour before the
service at the church on Sunday.
