Will of Michael Morgan

In the name of God, Amen. I Michael Morgan of Garrard County, state of Kentucky Do proceed to make this my last will and testament and first I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to a decent Christian burial, and proceed to dispose of my wordly goods and effects as follows:
To my first oldest son Marshal H. Morgan, Having given him his full portion here to find I now give him one dollar and no more. To be made out of my present estate.
And to my second son Milton N. Morgan having given him his full portion here to find I now give him one dollar and no more, to be made out of my present estate.
And to my third son Michael D. Morgan having given him his full portion here to find I now give him one dollar and no more, to be made out of my present estate.
And next to my six youngest children by my late wife Jane E. Morgan I give my entire estate, Lands, property as follows.
First to my daughter Elizabeth C. Henry as I have already given her one mare, bridle and saddle to the value of one hundred and twenty dollars, one cow of the value of thirty dollars. A bed and furniture of the value of ten dollars.
To my son Thomoas W.S. Morgan I have already given him one mare, bridle and saddle of the value of one hundred and twelve dollars.

Third to my son John C. Morgan As I have already given him one mare, bridle and saddle of the value of one hundred twelve dollars.
And to my fourth son Sweeney Morgan as I have given him nothing nor to my fifth son Trammel F. Morgan as I have given him nothing. Nor to my daughter Mary F. Morgan nothing. My will is that the last six names shall all be made equal share and share of equal value. And I do hereby consent to and appoint my son’s John C. Morgan and Sweeney Morgan administrators of this my last will, to dispose of the affects and divide the proceeds equally among my six last named children by my wife Jane E. Morgan. In witness where of I have caused my name to be signed in the presence of three witnesses.

Given under my hand this 2nd day of March 1871.

I W.H. Whurie clerk of Garrard County court certify there the foregoing feather will was produced to the court at the March terms 1841 (24th) and proven by the oaths of J.T. Conn and A.M. Renfro two neighbors bring witness there to, and they have now declared this to be the true last will and testament of Michael Morgan, deed until as such ordered to be recorded which is done accordingly.
