Last Will and Testament of Benjamin Hudson

In the name of God amen. I Benjamin Hudson of Garrard County and State of Kentucky calling to mind the certainty of life. I resign my body to the grave and my soul to God who gave it. I make this my Last Will and Testament.

I will in the first place that all my just debts and then give and bequeath all my real and personal Estate to my beloved wife Jemima during her lifetime or widowhood. After her decease I will that my Estate be equally divided amongst our children, Susannah, Betsy, William, Frances, Juriah, Peggy. John's two children to have one share equal to one of my own children, their names are Thomas and John: David, Jesse, Joshua, Dena and Morgan.

I will that Morgan my son execute this Last Will and Testament.

In testimony whereof I set my hand and seal this 26th day of September 1832.

REMARKS: Jesse Yantis and Isaac Philips were appointed administrators of the Estate of Benjamin Hudson on Dec. 17, 1832. Isaac Philips died and Jesse Yantis became the sole administrator. Morgan Hudson was named administrator o the Estate of his mother Jemima Hudson on Jan. 20, 1845. Benjamin Hudson died in Garrard Co., KY, Oct. 1, 1832, aged 69. Jemima Hudson died in Garrard Co., KY, Jan. 4, 1845.

Benjamin Hudson entered the Revolutionary War in Culpepper Co., VA, as a substitute for his brother Joshua. His brother Moses Hudson made an affidavit swearing to the service of Benjamin.
