Several Killed

Lancaster, Ky.,--June 27. Five miles southeast of here the storm swept everything in its path. Three houses were demolished and a dozen more unroofed. The residence of Rev. Ira Partin was destroyed and he, his wife, three children and a guest were injured, one child probably fatally. David Thompson was severely cut. A negro farm hand at James Thompson’s was cut and bruised and may die. Susie Danna, colored, sustained a broken leg. Three colored people in Flatwood are reported killed. Telegraph and telephone wires are down and turnpikes blocked by fallen trees. At Cartersville in the upper end of the county the residence of Isaac Ponder was struck and the entire family consisting of eight persons were injured. Mr. Ponder and one son were killed.
