In the name of God amen, I Thos. Parrent being weak of body, but sound in mind and Knowing the uncertainty of this life and the certainty of death do make this my last will
and testament as follows, towit: first that all my just debts be paid out of the money that tis owing to me if enough can be collected and if it cannot be collected then the
balance to be made up by sale of some of my personal estate and the remainder of my real and personal estate, I will to my beloved wife, Margaret Parrent, to raise and
educate my children upon and remain in her possession during her natural life or widowhood and it is my wish that my wife be my Executrix and James Hunter and John
Mayhall be my Executors and if they should think proper to sell the land where on I now live and ---- the proceeds in other land for the benefit of my wife and children it is my
wish and devise that it should be done and having the fullest confidence in my Executrix and Executors, it is my wish that no security should be required of them by the Court.
 In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.
