In the name of all mighty God Amen, I Sanford Goins of Frankfort, KY being advanced in years, but of sound mind and disposing memory and desiring to dispose of all my earthly estate with which I have been blessed in such manner and to such persons as seems to me to be just and proper do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament thereby revolking al other or former wills in manner and form as follows: 1st, I hereby bequeath my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth in the Frankfort Cemetery in decent burial and request that the flag of my country under which I have faithfully tried to serve it in the hour of danger which flag is now in my possession be wrapped around my coffin and buried with me. 2nd, And whereas on the 9th of August 1876 my present wife, Nannie Goins and myself made a deed of trust conveying to Walter Franklin certain real estate situated on Clinton and Lewis streets in Frankfort, KY as well as certain personal property mentioned in said deed of trust which deed of trust is recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Franklin County Court in Deed Book No. 14, page 379 to be held by said Franklin in trust for certain persons and uses which trust and uses are hereby approved and confirmed by in view of the possibility of termination of said uses and trusts ___ allowing the law to __ the title to my estate where I do not desire it to go. I hereby declare and devise that in the event that all of my children by my present wife, Nannie Goins should die without bearing any lawful issue of their bodies born to them in lawful wedlock it is my will and I so direct and devise that if such state of case should ever arise then and in that event I give and bequeath all of my said real and personal property as well as all other property to which I may have right at the time of my death to the children of my first wife and their descendants share and share a like. 3rd, I hereby nominate and appoint my friend and brother Mason J. W. Pruett executor of this my will and request the County Court to allow him to qualify and act as such without bond or security. In testimony whereas I have hereunto set my hand and seal in presence of witnesses this 31st. day of May 1887 Sanford Goins
