I, I Silas Douthet of Franklin County, Kentucky do hereby make this my last will & testament in manner and form following that is to say,

1st having heretofore made advances to all my children in money and property including slaves my will is that they shall still continue to enjoy those
advances and land without disturbing said arrangement or throwing the same into hotchpot after my decease.
2nd I desire my Executor herein named to dispose of so much of my property as shall be sufficient to pay all of my past debts & funeral expenses
leaving in his hands as trustee for my Grandaughter Margareth E. Newton the sum of three hundred dollars which said Exc Is to keep at interest during
the minority of said Margaret E. but should she die during her minority then I desire the said sum of three hundred dollars to revert to my children or
their heirs. 3rd I desire that my wife Sally Douthit as soon as convenient after my decease have assigned to her the one third part of all my estate whether
real or personal except that part I wish a slave called John to be sold to enable my said exor. In part to raize the money necessary to carry into effect my
desire, above specified. 4th After the assignment of dower to my wife and the payment of the money above provided I desire that the residue of my estate
be equally divided between my children or their heirs. And lastly I hereby appoint my son Piersaul Douthet Executor to this my last will and testament
hereby revoking all other former wills or testaments by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 3rd day of May in the year 1843.

A writing purporting to be the last will & testament of Silas Douthet decd. was produced in court and was proven by the oaths of R. T. Colemand and Isaac
Wingate the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded whereupon the said will is duly recorded in my office.
