I Shelar Bailey of Frankin County Kentucky knowing the uncertainty of life and wishing to dispose of my worldly estate, and being now of sound and disposing mind and memory,
do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills by me made viz.
Item 1.  It is my will that my funeral expenses and just debts be first paid by my Executors hereafter named.  Item 2d. I will and devise to my beloved wife for and during the term of
her natural life of widow hood, all of my estate of every kind, real personal and mixed, and all my --- in action for the purpose of supporting herself and raising and educating our
children, and she is hereby vested with full power at her discretion to sell or dispose of all my estate except the land and negroes.
Item 3rd In case my wife should marry again It is then my will that she shall have one third of my estate only during her life, and in assigning to her third, the property she may have
sold under the foregoing clause and appropriated to her own use Shall be taken into the estimation, and the rest and residue of my estate shall then be equally divided among my
children.
Item 4th  In case my wife does not marry, it is my will and desire that at her death, all my estate be equally divided among my children.
Item 5.  This my will and desire that my wife give to my children as much of my estate as they marry or come of age, as she think proper, not interfering with the land or negroes,
and any gifts by my wife shall not be taken into the estimate in any final division among my children.
Lastly, I appoint my wife Mary Bailey and my two sons Churchill and Robert Bailey my executrix and executor to carry into effect this my last will and testament. In witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of May 1845.

State of Kentucky Franklin County Court August Term 1847
A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Shelah Bailey decd. was produced in Court and was proven by the oaths of Albert G. Bailey and William D Reed the subscribing
witnesses and ordered to be recorded. Whereupon the said will is truly recorded in my office.
