1824 - 1854

Page 25
I Samuel Alexander of Franklin County being of advanced age and infirm in body but of sound mind and knowing that from the nature of things I cannot be long in this world do hereby
revoke all former wills & make this my last will and testament (viz.) First that upon my decease my funeral expenses shall be paid and next any just debts I may owe after which I give
to James H. McCann who is hereby appointed my executor, the residue of my estate in trust for Mrs. Susanna Trigg and my said Trustee is requested when any money or other
property shall come into his hands to appropriate it to the purposes above mentioned giving to Mrs. Trigg her portion for her own use.  I make this devise because the treatment I have
experienced from Mrs. Trigg has been benevolent and Kind such as only might be expected from a daughter to a Father.  The only estate I have is the proceeds of a sale of my Land
in Campbell County which was sold by William Route and for which he has not accounted to me.  It is my request that my executor upon qualifying as such shall not be required to
give security. Given under my hand and seal this 7th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five.
