2. I give and bequeath to Bridget McGowan, my cousin five hundred dollars to be paid to her by my executors as soon after my death as is convenient.
3. I devise to my mother, Mary Mullin all the rest and residue of my property and estate of every description for and during her natural life.
4. After the death of my mother, it is my desire that  my executors shall take possession of said estate so devised to her for her lifetime and that they have my farm cultivated using

my slaves thereon and that they make said estate as profitable as possible up to the time of the youngest of my nephews and nieces, viz: the children of my sister, Mary Ann Carr

sisters arrive at 21 years of age my executors shall sell all my said estate (should my mother be then dead) and when the proceeds thereof have been collected my executors are
directed to make division thereof between all of said children equally charging them with those who have received any of said profits, the object being to make them all equal.
I do hereby appoint my friends, William Knight and A. P. Williams my executors and the will carry this will into effect.  I desire that they nor either of them shall not be required to

give security as executors in the Franklin County Court.  In witness whereof I have set my hand this 6th day of August 1862.
