In the name of God Amen, I John Harrod, Senr. of the county of Franklin and state of Kentucky do hereby make this my last will and testament in manner and form
following that is to say:
1st.   I desire that a sufficient portion of my personal property be immediately sold after my decease and out of the money ensuing therefrom all my just debts and
funeral expenses to be paid.
2nd.  After the payment of my debts and funeral expenses I give my late wife Nancy Harrod all my lands and all my property both real and personal for and during the
time of her widowhood.  Should my wife change her state and be married to another in that case, I desire her to have one third of my estate so long as she lives and after
decesed I give the same to my children here and after mentioned.
3rd.   I give to m y son Barnett Harrod, fifty dollars to him and his heirs forever.
4th.   I give to my son Elijah Harrod fifty dollars to him and his heirs forever.
5th.   I give to my son Chapman Harrod forty six dollars to him and his heirs forever.
6th.   I give to my son Benjamin Harrod fifty dollars to him and his heirs forever.
7th.   I give to my son William Harrod the sum of fifty dollars to him and his heirs forever.
8th.   I give to my daughter, Julia Ann Chandler fifty dollrs to her and her heirs forever.
9th.   I give to my daughter, Sarah Gordon the sum of fifty dollars to her and her heirs forever.
10th. I give to my son, Davis Harrod the sum of fifty dollars to him and his heirs forever.
11th. I give to my daughter, Nancy Harrod the sum of fifty dollars to her and her heirs forever.
12th. The balance of my estate both real and personal of what nature of kind soever may herein bequeath or disposed of I desire may be equally divided among my several
children herein named to them and their heris forever and lastly.  I do hereby appoint constitute and appoint my son Barnett Harrod and William Chandler executors of this
my last will and testament hereby revoking all other and former wills or testaments by me heretofor made.  In witnesss whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this
22nd day of August 1835.

Signed sealed published and declared as and for the last will and testament of the
above named John Harrod, Sr, in the presence of:
James E. Duvall
Laurence Gordon, Senr.

Franklin County, November term 1835
A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of John Harrod, Sr. was produced in open court and proven by the othats of James E. Duvall and Laurence Gordon subscribing
witnesses to said writing to be the last will and testament of the said John Harrod, Sr. whereupon it is ordered that the same be recorded which is done accordingly.
