28-29 In the name of God amen I Charles Macey of Franklin County do make and publish this my last will & testament. I devise and bequeath the whole of my estate both real & personal to my wife Polly Macey during her widowhood to have & possess the same to her own use and benefit while she remains my widow. At the expiration of the terms aforesaid that is to say at the marriage or death of my wife Polly Macey I devise and bequeath all my real Estate above named including the salves & their increase & whatever may then remain of my personal Estate to all my children in Equal portions to share alike. I devise one acre of land on which the Bethel meeting house stands to the Trustees of the Baptist Church of Christ constituted in said meeting house and to their successors forever. But it is my will that there be no burying ground on said meeting house Lot and moreover that said house be appropriated to no other use then that of divine service as heretofore. Lastly I appoint my beloved wife Polly Macey Executrix and Harry J. Anderson Executor of this my last will and testament and I appoint my wife Polly Macey Guardian of all my children alluded to above during their infancy towit Eliza Ann Macey, William M. Macey, Alexander Macey, Reuben T. A. Macey, Silas Noel Macey and moreover I desire that no security be required of my said wife for the performance of any trust herein confided to her. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal on this 15th day of December in the year one thousand eight hundred and eight. Charles Macey
