State of Kentucky Franklin County. In the name of god I William Boyd being weak in body but of sound mind & disposing memory & calling to mind the certainty of death and
the uncertainty of life after commending my soul to god in asurance of a resurance of resurrection to eternal life being desirous of disposing of the property it has pleased god to
bless me with do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit. Item 1st I give to Jane Armstrong my negro girl Mary. 2d I give Ann Black my negro
girl Mariah 3rd I give to Rebeckah Mitchel two hundred dollars. 4th I desire that my negro man Ben be set free. 5th I wish my executors here after named to sell and convey my
lands and stock and in any way they think proper and I wish my executors to hire the balance of my negroes to good places and as much in family as convenient. 6th I give to
Andrew B Reed for the use of his daughter Ann Reed this money is owing to me by Clay Well of Caroline, And lastly I appoint George Armstrong A B Reed and A Wilson executors
into effect and make disbursements of the legacies and to distribute any over pless (?) between the three first named legatees. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal this 1st Oct. 1841.

A writing purporting to be the last will & testament of Will Boyd deceased was produced in Court and proven by the oaths of Robert Hamilton and Alexander Julian the subscribing
witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded as the will of said decd.. Where upon the same is truly recorded in my office.
