In the name of God Amen, I, Benjamin Green of the county of Franklin and state of Kentucky, being sick and weak in body, but sound mind & disposing memory do hereby make
my last will and testament in matter and form as follows, to wit:
First, I desire all my estate both real and personal, after the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my nephew Peter Green until my youngest child may arrive
to the age of 21 years and then I authorize my executors to sell at public sale my land & whatever personal estate my children may in common hold to which I wish equally divided
amongest my children as follows, to wit:  Nancy, Ann, Thomas, John, Lucy & James Green.
I also authorize my executor to sell at private sale as much of my personal estate as may be necessary to  pay my just debts and funeral expenses.  I also request that my executor
may be permitted to act without giving any security  ____ the ____ above mentioned.  I hereby appoint my nephew Peter Green as my executor of this my last will and testament
hereby revoking all others given under my hand and seal this 18th day of September in the year of our Lord 1840.

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Benjamin Green, dec'd was produced in court and was proven by the oath of Sanford Tomlinson a subscribing witness thereto
and ordered to be recorded which is now done accordingly.
