State of Kentucky, Franklin County, December 17, 1862
I, Andrew B. Reed, being of sound mind and memory do make ordain and publish this writing to be my last will and testament.
Item # 1 - It is my will and desire that my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first paid.
Item # 2 - It is my will and desire that each of my children hereinafter named shall receive from my estate four hundred dollars and that each of my children who have received
that amount is not to receive any part or portion of my estate until those of my children who have received nothing an also those who have received a less sum than four
hundred dollars shall have received that sum, viz:  John L. Reed has received one hundred dollars and it is my will and desire that he receive from my estate three hundred
dollars.  Frances Reed has received three hundred and it is my will and desire that he receive one hundred dollars. William H. Reed has received four hundred and sixty eight
dollars and it is my will and desire that he receive nothing from my estate until each child herein named has received that sum. Alfred B. Reed has received four hundred dollars
and it is my will and desire that he receive nothing from my estate until each child herein named has received that sum.
Item # 3 - It is my will and desire that James Reed and Samuel D. Reed each of whom have received nothing shall receive from my estate four hundred dollars, viz:  James,
four hundred dollars and Samuel, four hundred dollars.
Item # 4 - It is my will and desire that Susan A. Woods shall receive from my estate two hundred and fifty dollars having already received one hundred and fifty dollars.
Item # 5 - Should any estate remain after distributing as above and before directed, it is my will and desire that each child shall have an equal part of such remainder so as to
make each child equal.
Item # 6 - It is my will and desire that Alfred B. Reed and Hugh Allen shall sell what estate I leave, real, personal and mixed and distribute the proceeds in conformity with the
foregoing items. Given under my hand this date first above written.

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Andrew B. Reed, dec. was produced in Court and was proved by the oaths of Thomas P. Rodgers and Jno. W. Sanders
witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.  Whereupon said will is truly recorded in my office.
