I, Allen Gowens, of Frankfort, Ky being in feeble health, but of sound mind, do make and publish this as my last will and testament as follows,
First; I devise all my just debts to be paid.
Second; I will bequeath to my wife, Martha Isabel Gowens all my estate, both real and personal during her life as widowhood and at her death or marriage, the residue to be divided

equally among my children, when the youngest arrives at age, except my daughter, Celia Ann Redman, whose share to go to her children.
Lastly; I appoint my wife, Martha Isabel Gowens, Executrix of my last will and request that no security be required of her by the County Court.
Witness my hand this 21 day of August 1870.

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Allen J. Gowens was produced in Court and proven by the oaths of J. C. Coleman and Jesse Whitehouse the subscribing

witnesses thereto.  Whereupon it was ordered that said will be recorded, which is done.
