Dear Sisters,
Will try to write you and tell you the news the family has gone to the Dessert for the weekend. Mom and I are here all alone. We are to ______ to visit some friends this afternoon. Mamie is still at the post office. Ruth is working at the Army Navy Academy this is Mack’s second year. He is doing fine. He has the rank of Corporal. Well mom and I are fine. Lee has married and I saw him in Tacoma Washington. I was happy to see him. He is in the Air Force and doing fine. Ida Norton has cancer of the intestines. She is in the hospital. I don’t know if she will ever get out Mattie is taking care of Struthers, he is a nervous wreck, and can’t take care of himself. I will try and get back there next year. Haven’t heard from any of Jim’s family for a long time. Thelma sent me a card from Florida in July. They were on vacation in Miami. Frank has quit the Singer Co and gone to Illinois to start farming. This is all I think. Give my love to all.
