Winchester, Ky., Oct. 18 - Mrs. Henry Bradley died at the
home of her sister-in-law, Miss Margaret Bradley, on Third
street, this city, Friday morning as a result of burns received
Thursday morning at her home in Campton. Mrs. Bradley was
preparing breakfast, and was lifting one of the utensils from
the stove when her apron caught fire and she was soon enveloped
in flames. Her entire body was horribly burned. She was
brought to Winchester on the early morning train Thursday and
steadily grew worse until her death this morning.
Mrs. Bradley formerly lived in this city, having moved to
Campton only a short time ago. She was a sister of Messrs.
Howard R. Watts and WIley Watts, of this county, being a
daughter of the late Johnson Watts, who died several years ago.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Rev. Samuel Bradley, a
popular Methodist minister of Petersburg; and two daughters,
Mrs. Annie Baker, of Ohio, and Mrs. Sam Cotterill, of Latonia.
Mrs. Bradley was about 60 years of age. She had been a member
of the old Baptist church for many years. The funeral services
will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev.
Leonidas Robinson.
