SAMUEL DOWNEY, father of orators, died 1773 in Augusta County testate. Daughter MARGARET now wife of JAMES TROTTER (dar: 1741/1788 cAPT. va) Rachel married JOHN WILSON JAMES, brother and wife moved to KY in 1784.
