Know all men by these presents that we, John N. Ross & William Denton are held & bound unto the
Commonwealth of Ky. in the just & full sum of L50 current money of Ky. which payment will & truly
to be made. We bind ourselves, our heirs lassitly(sp?) & firmly by these presents sealed & dated this 7 of August 1839.
The condition of the above obligation is such that there is a marriage shortly intended to be
soleminized between the above bound John N. Ross & Nancy Kidamon. Now if there shall be no lawful
cause to obstruct such marriage, then this bond to be now else to remain in full force & virtue.
