Joseph P. REED - "Joey"
Born: Mar 17, 1961 - Died: Apr 8, 1978
Seventeen Lost Seemingly alone He was born one of seven, last of all Did not seem to stand
out, all that tall Loving Quiet Never asking for his share Yet, into our daily lives he did
not fit Many problems, in his life, we could not fix With troubles of our own, it left us with
little wit, Now, painfully sad, we only number six Sorrowful Ashamed As good as he knew how
to be He lived each and every day, full of trife Searching for what could never be Reluctant,
but willingly took his own life For what was not there, like it was for you and me Special
Wrong Prayed at times God, judge this young man worthy of your love Take him to your heavenly
home above Give him eternal life, with peace of mind A way of life he deserved, but could not find
Pushed Shoved Yet, rarely hurt anyone Quietly existing in his own special way With an
occasional glance of love and dismay Reaching your heart, you hardly knew he was there Now, the
heart has pain, he cannot be found anywhere Yesterday Tomorrow The day that never came Joey,
we love you dearly Wishing you were with us nearly Witnessing the love and sorrow that's so real
Always meant to get together but no time seemed ideal Friend Brother Stranger in many ways I
regret not to have known you well I loved you deeply, quietly, you could hardly tell I saw you
affectionately as an ugly baby But a beautiful child Who grew up in a world, different than
mine, But survived in midst of wild Good Giving A delight to know Among all of the
regret, sorrow and pain I feel special to have known your love And my love for you will always
maintain F orever, my brother and friend, Now, go peacefully above.
