This same farm would later become the property of Alfred Chambers II son, Cleveland Scott CHAMBERS, where before going into the funeral business in 1906, C. Scott was said to have been born and raised on this farm and educated himself in the business of farming an stock raising, especially the raising of horses, of which it was said he was to have been an "authority" on and one of the best judges of horses in Boone County. Laura's funeral was held at Petersburg Christian Church by Rev. S. W. Allen of Walton, Ky., her arrangements were handled by her son, Cleveland Scott Chambers (Undertaker & owner of C. Scott Chambers Funeral Home in Walton, Boone Co., KY.)Laura after her marriage to Alfred made her home in Boone Co. where she spent the greater part of her life. She was an active church worker and a member of Petersburg Christian Church. At the time of her death she was survived by 5 of her children, C. Scott Chambers of Walton, KY., William Kirtley Chambers of Los Angeles, CA., Aileen Chambers Atkinson of San Luis Obispo, CA., Lawrence Sanford Chambers of Petersburg,and Laura Herma Chambers Mathews of Petersburg, Boone Co., KY.
