Barren Co. Ky Deed Book # 10 pgs. 73-74
This indenture made on the 1st day of December 1873 between
David Thomas and Margaret his wife of the 1st
party and Radford Wyatt of the 2nd party all
of the county of Barren and State of Kentucky for and consideration of the sum
of eighty dollars in hand said to the first party the have this day sold and
conveyed to said Wyatt a certain tract of land in the county and state aforesaid
on the waters of Peter’s Creek where said Wyatt now lives. Bounded as
follows; beginning at a stake Obe Britt line in a spring branch
thence meandering up the same to a stake in Steenbergen line thence with his
line N 46 and E 40 poles to a white oak thence with the Mill road N 32 W 47
poles to 2 black Oaks thence N 47 W 57 poles to a stone Britt’s corner
thence with his line S 49 W 66 poles to the beginning with all the appertained
to have and to hold and the 1st party bind themselves, heirs and assigns and
forever warrant and defend the above granted premises free from all other claims
whatever in testimony where of they have set their hand and seals the day above
written.

I, J. P. Nuckols clerk of the county court for said county do certify that on
the 18th day of February 1874, the foregoing deed from David
Thomas and his wife Margaret Thomas to Rad Wyatt
was acknowledged before A. P. Childress an acting
deputy clerk for me by the grantors to be their act and deed and on this day
filed in my office for record. There upon the dame and the testimonial thereon
endorsed together with this certificate have been recorded. Given under my hand
this 5th day of February 1874.
