Know all men by there presents that we the subscribing legatees of the estate
of John Pickett deceased do hereby relinquish all the
rights or claim which we have to a certain Negro Boy of the
name John belonging to the estate of the said John
Pickett deceased and do hereby give all our claim to the
said Negro to our sister Judy Pickett and where Enoch
Hume, one of the legatees of the said John Pickett
deceased will now make his relinquishment of his right of the
said Negro we do therefore obligate ourselves to pay him for the part which he
might legally ___ in said Negro and we do hereby warrant and will forever defend
the title of the said Negro to the said Judy
Pickett her heirs and assigns forever against the claim of the
said Enoch Hume and against the claim of all
and every person or persons whatever in testimony whereof we have hereunto sat
over hand and lists this 17th day of December 1810.

Barren county (to wit) December the 17th , 1810 This bill of
sale from the heirs of John Pickett deceased
to Judy Pickett was on the day of the above
date acknowledged before me by the within name Thomas James , Willis
Settle, John Pickett, William Pickett, E. Hume, Lucy Pickett and John
Matthews to be their Act of Deed for the purpose therein specified
and thereupon admitted to record in my office.
