This indenture made this 5th day of June 1847 between
Thomas Green Grantee trustee and attorney in fact for the
heirs devisers and legal representatives of George Pickett
deceased by George M. Green his attorney in fact of
the one part and Henry Borders of the county of Barren and
state of Kentucky of the second part witnepth { as written in deed} that the
said Thomas Green Grantee as aforesaid for and in
consideration of the sum of thirty dollars ($30) in hand paid the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold and doth
by these presents give grant bargain and sell unto the said Henry
Borders his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of
land situated lying and being in the county of Barren on Peters Creek being
part of a one thousand acre tract pattented { as written} in the name of
Robert Pollard on the 21st of February 1796 and the said
Pollard conveyed to the aforesaid Geo. Pickett
on the 27th of February 1802 and by the said representation of said
Pickett conveyed in trust to the aforesaid Thomas
Green on the 4thof March 1833 and containing by estimation forty
acres and bounded as follows: towit Beginning at a white oak and red oak
Martin Buttons line N 67 E 168 ½ poles to a ash in the edge of an old field
thence S 23 E 38 poles to a beach{ as written} on the original line of
Pollards survey thence with the same S 67 W 168 ½ poles to three sycamores on
the creek thence down the creek N 23 W 38 poles to the beginning. To have and
to hold the same unto him the said Henry Borders his heirs
and assigns forever and the said Thomas Green Trustee as
aforesaid doth covenant and agree to and with the said Henry Borders
his heirs and assigns that he will forever warrant and defend the
same against the claim of himself and all others claiming under him. In
testimony whereof the said Thomas Green hath hereunto set his
hand and seal the day and year aforesaid.

I, Thomas J. Helm clerk of the county court for said county
certify that this deed from Thomas Green grantee trustee and
attorney in fact for the heirs of George Pickett by
George M. Green his attorney in fact to Henry Borders
was on this day proven before me by oath of Edgar M. Holman
and George B. Ellis witnesses thereto th be the act
and deed of the said George M. Green.Whereupon the same and
this certificate has been recorded in my office given under my hand this
8th day of September
1847.
