Isaac & Patsey Moore to Jeremiah Bailey

This Indenture made this 26th day of September one thousand eight hundred and
twenty seven between Jeremiah Bailey of the County of Barren
and State of Kentucky, of the one part and Isaac Moore and
Patsey his wife of the County and State aforesaid of the other
part, Witnesseth that the said Isaac Moore and
Patsey his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of one
hundred and fifty one Dollars to them in hand paid by the aforesaid
Jeremiah Bailey the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
bargained and sold and by these present do bargain sell and confirm unto the
said Jeremiah Bailey his Heirs a certain tract or parcel of
land lying and being in the County of Barren on the waters of Rose Creek and
bounded as follows: Court Beginning at a poplar dogwood and gum tree on a line
of Isaac Moores settlement of 200 acres and succeeding thence
with said line South sixty, West forty five poles to two Cicamores and black Oak
thence with the same south ten west fifty five poles to a Black walnut and two
ash trees on a Military line of William Croghans thence with it
south thirty six East, thirty poles to a hickory, gum and grove thence south
eighty five East thirty poles with Marshall line to white Ash
on a line of I. Marshals thence with it north sixty five East
thirty poles to a hickory and white Oak thence with the same Path Eighty five
East twenty four poles to a poplar on a line of said Marshalls thence with it
south Eighteen East twenty six poles to a double Chestnut, thence North thirteen
East thirty six poles to a white Oak and two ash trees and the said
Moores Settlement line thence with it North fifty five West one
hundred and six poles to the Beginning, Containing fifty acres and thence
Isaac Moore and Patsey, his wife do by these
presents warrant and forever defend the (?) against the claims of themselves
their heirs and all and any other person or persons whatsoever. In witness
whereof they have hereunto set their hands and seals this day and year above
written.

Kentucky Barren County To wit:
I William Logan Clerk of the County Court for the County
aforesaid do Certify that the foregoing Deed of Conveyance from Isaac
Moore and Patsey, his wife to Jeremiah
Bailey was acknowledged before me by the said Isaac
Moore and wife to be the act and Deed, the said Patsey
Moore being Examined by me apart from her husband and said writing
shown and Explained to her declared that she makes solid good and delivered the
same as her act and Deed and consented that the said Deed should be Recorded
whereupon the aforesaid Deed of Conveyance and this Certificate hath been duly
admitted to Record in my office given under my hand this 26th day of September
1827.
