Barren County KY Deeds

This indenture made the 11th day of December in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one between James Crawford of the county of Preble State of Ohio of the one part and John Moorehead of Barren County Kentucky State of the other part and witnesseth that the said James Crawford for and in considerations of the sum of two hundred dollars notes to the said James Crawford in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledge have granted, bargained aliened borrowed and confirmed and by these fines int do grant, bargain, sell alien, convey and confirm unto the said John Mororehead his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land containing two hundred acres of the county of Barren and State of Kentucky on the waters of Marrawbono bounded as follows to wit. beginning at a maple and hickory running thence west 119 poles to a chestnut and hickory thence south 179 poles to two black oaks thence east 179 poles to a popular and dogwood, thence north 179 poles crossing a branch to an ash and hickory thence west 60 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold thoedie grantented and bargained premancte with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise approving the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said John Moorehead, his heirs and assigns and the said James Crawford doth for himself his executors and administrators do hereby covenant promises and grant to and with the said John Moorehead his heairs and assigns that before the unsealing he the said James Crawford was the true sole and lawful owner of the above bargained premises and was lawfully seized and popeeface of the same in his own right and good perfect and absolute estate of inheritance in the fee simple and had in himself good right full power lawful authority to grant bargain, sell, convey and confirm the said bargained premises in the manner aforesaid. And that the said John Moorehead his heirs and assignees shall ai and at all times forever, hereafter, by force and virtue of those presents lawfully peaceably and virtually have hold use occupy prosper and enjoy the said demises and bargained premises with the appurtenances free and clearly acquitted exonerated and discharge of and all. Sath measure of former or other gifts grown to sales or encumbrances of what name or nature soever. that might in any measure or degree obstruct or make void this present deed. Furthermore, the said James Crawford for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators, doth warrant and engage the above acres premises to him the said John Moorehead his heirs and assignees agents the lawful claims of any person or persons whatsoever found hereafter to warrant insure and defend by these transactions
