William Bridges to Isaac Moore
23 March 1822
This Indenture made this 23rd day of March 1822 between William Bridges
and wife of the County of Barren and State of Kentucky of the one part
and Isaac Moore of the same County and State of the other part
Witnesseth that the said William Bridges for and in
consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents doth
bargain and sell unto the said Isaac Moore a certain tract or
parcel of Land Situate in the said County of Barren on the Waters of Sinking
Creek containing one hundred and Seventy Acres bounded as follows: Start
Beginning at a Sugar tree Isaac Lowe's Corner of his headright
Survey of 171 Acres running thence East 138 poles to a post Oak thence S 10 W 32
poles to a Stone thence South 50 W 166 poles to a black Walnut thence S 35 E 20
poles to a pine Oak thence E 23 West 66 poles to a post oak and black oak thence
South 6 East 32 poles to a Stake in Anderson's tree with said
line South 64 W 82 poles to two post Oaks thence North 34 W 48 poles to a blazed
Saplin thence North 57 W 53 poles to three red Oaks thence North 5 East 52 poles
to a red Oak thence 46 poles to a stone thence North 16 East 31 poles to a Stone
thence east 3 poles to a stone thence North 20 E 61 poles to a Stone thence West
3 poles to a Stone thence North 16 East 24 poles to two post Oaks thence N 30
East 65 poles to the beginning. The said Isaac Moore to have
and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land to him & his heirs &
assigns forever and the said William Bridges for himself and
his heirs doth covenant and agree to Warrant and defend the aforesaid 148 acres
of Land with its appurtenances with the said Isaac Moore &
his heirs and assigns forever against those claims of all persons whomsoever. In
